Turnkey Classroom Flips?

I ran across an interesting article about a new tool for math teachers who would like to flip their classrooms without all of the work of creating their own materials.  The article by Kevin Hudson discusses the use of math ibooks created by Your Teacher.  The ibooks are sold on iTunes for $9.99 each and include video tutoring and interactive features that you wouldn't find in a standard textbook.  I was able to download a sample book and play with it a bit and I think it would be helpful to students.  It really is a new model for textbooks and I expect there will be many more like it in the future.  It certainly would save time over teachers having to create their own ibooks.

I believe that the flipped classroom model works particularly well for math classes.  I think that customized lessons would be more beneficial to students, however off the shelf products like these ibooks by Your Teacher may be a nice addition to a group of lessons.  I would like to give my students several options for learning content and there are a lot of good online math lessons available.  For parents looking for supplementary materials for their children who are struggling with math, these ibooks may be a good option to consider.
